Area residents are invited to start the New Year off right with “Healthy Eating Simply,” Greene County Extension’s next offering in the Greene Living Series, on Tuesday, Jan. 9 from 12 to 1:30 pm.
This “lunch and learn” at the Ram Restaurant at Greene County High School will feature Holly VanHeel, ISU Extension and Outreach human sciences specialist. She will present, “Spend Smart, Eat Smart,” with information on choosing healthy food options and ways to reduce your grocery bill while eating delicious meals.
Cost for the event is $20 and includes lunch. Reservations should be made by Friday, Jan. 5.
The Greene Living series explores how we live today and ways to improve your quality of life. Lori Mannel, County Extension director, describes it as “4-H for grown-ups.” Upcoming events in the series include Planning Your Dream Vacation, Fashion Fun and Photography Tips & Tricks.
